Job Description

The Role

As the Functional Skills Maths Lecturer, you will be teaching at different levels across the college. You will work closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students and to develop contextualised resources and to support the embedding of Maths into the wider curriculum. You will act as a personal tutor to students and be capable of build great working relationship. Organisational skills are key for this role as you will need to prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules.

Key responsibilities, skills and attitudes

·          Level 5 or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or relevant subject
·         Excellent teaching skills in Functional Skills Maths
·         Excellent communication skills
·         Computer literate
·         Flexible and adaptable attitude to work with students of all ages
