Office Co-ordinator (New Milton)
Here at Brockenhurst College, we are looking to recruit an Office Co-ordinator (New Milton) on a full time, term time only, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,834 - £27,211 per annum, pro rata.

The Office Co-ordinator (New Milton) Role:
The main purpose of the role is to co-ordinate efficient and effective customer service and clerical support for the New Milton Area Adult Learning and Skills programme. The post will be based at Fusee House, New Milton but cover may be required at other local locations on occasions, by prior agreement. The post holder’s pattern of work will be overseen by the Head of Lifelong Learning and Employment Pathways.
Responsibilities as our Office Co-ordinator (New Milton) will include:
- Deal with telephone, personal and postal enquiries effectively, including direct action or appropriate referrals, replying to requests for course information, both by post and over the counter.
- Provide high quality customer service to assist students staff and visitors, whether by telephone or in person.
- Ensure that the Reception and office areas are well stocked with information and kept up to date and tidy.
- Liaise with and assist those involved with course delivery. E.g. staff, tutors, students, volunteers, outside organisations, to ensure courses run smoothly and to a high standard
- Work with the management, MIS team and marketing to ensure courses are set up correctly, promoted effectively and are viable
- Liaise with out centres regarding room bookings and associated invoices
- Prepare notices, posters etc. and the setting up of displays.
- Maintenance of students, staff and financial records, including collection and preparation of data for statistical purposes.
- Ordering of stationery, refreshment supplies, materials and other equipment, ensuring that adequate stocks are held.
- Undertake general office duties, to include filing, distribution of incoming and preparation of outgoing mail.
- Carry out enrolment procedures, including cashier duties.
As our Office Co-ordinator (New Milton) ideally you will have:
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- A minimum of two years experience in an office environment, dealing with the general public.
- Experience of assisting with a range of different people with diverse needs.
- Competent computer skills – able to use Word, Excel, Presentation, Outlook and the Internet for information retrieval.
- Telephone and Reception skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- To demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
